Today, I kicked my own ass. I just felt like it. Leaving the gym, I was dripping with sweat, the outline of my sports bra fully visible through my drenched shirt; I loved every second of it.
Here's the workout (only took 45 minutes):
-- 5 minutes on stair master to warm-up
-- 5 minutes of stretching (mostly lower body)
1a.) Power cleans 5x5
1b.) DB Swings 10x5
1c.) Jump Rope 1 minute x 5
-- And then I polished it off by switching between 2 minutes on the stair master (at level 10) and 2 minutes of jumping rope for 10 minutes.
I have no earthly idea how many calories I burned, but I'm estimating A LOT. Right now I'm guzzling down a smoothie (banana, strawberry, blueberries, orange juice, milk, and a handful of spinach) and eating some scrambled eggs.
I feel fresh and accomplished. No matter what your fitness level, always continue to challenge yourself. Life is too short to stay the same.
